About Kajsa Arwefjäll
Kajsa turned professional in June 2024 after completing her studies at San Jose State University with a degree in International Business. Her love for golf began in childhood, when she played with friends on the course, picked flowers, built towers with golf balls, and enjoyed cake after a round.
Raised in an athletic family—with her mother as an accomplished skier, her father a former professional golfer, and her brother a professional ice hockey player—Kajsa possesses a strong competitive spirit and is highly motivated. She participated in various sports during her childhood, with her main focuses being rope skipping and golf. In 2018, she decided to dedicate herself to golf fully. By the age of 14, Kajsa became the third-best individual junior rope skipper in the world and won the Junior World Rope Skipping Championship with her team ”SKILL,” which holds multiple Swedish, European, and world championship medals. Kajsa also earned an individual world championship bronze medal in 2014. Kajsa won her first professional tournament as an amateur in 2021 and was named the 2024 LETAS Order of Merit winner and Rookie of the Year.

EARLY YEAR GOLF
I more or less grew up on the golf course. My dad worked at the golf course as a Head Pro so after school I would go with my friends to the golfcourse to play instead of going home. We would run around enjoying the nature. I would pick flowers or bould towers with the golfballs not necessarily hitting them. I just enjoyed myself on the golfcourse. When I got a little older my friends and me would be in the same group for practice. Every thursday we would play a fun game of 9 holes and then eat newly baked cookies after. My favorite game was “norsk poängbogey” which meant the amount of shots you had for your handicap the same amount of throws you had. There were som strategy to this and one girl save all of her throws to the last hole and made a 0. Such a fun time, and I have always had a fun time on the course.
COLLEGIATE
In August 2019, Kajsa began her collegiate career at San Jose State. Her love for team sports shone through in college, where she played a vital role in helping the Spartans rise from a ranking of 70 in 2019 to third in the nation by 2022. She contributed to multiple team victories while also achieving individual success, winning several times and receiving the ”Conference Player of the Year” award in back-to-back years, 2023 and 2024. Kajsa competed in nationals four times and became a three-time All-America player. Graduating with a GPA of 3.86 and honors of ”Summa Cum Laude,” she also received the conference and All-American scholar honors five times. Kajsa has been nominated for the NCAA Female Athlete of the Year for 2024. Her favorite thing about college was being a part of a team atmosphere.

ROPE SKIPPING
I started when I was 9 years old and fell in love. Being able to do tricks together with music and a team was so fun. My team started when I was 11 years old. 5 girls from the same class in school started our team SKILL together, me, Isa Vigren, Smilla Eliasson, Julia Nydemark, and Marina Jalkell joined together.
2011 was our first competition at 11 years old and flew several hours up north in Sweden to compete. We had such a fun time while bringing home some medals. We also got our own coach Josefin Holmgren.
2013 Junior European Championship in Denmark. We had a plast competing and ended up as the third best junior team in Europe overall and even won gold in multiple events.
2014 we flew to Hong Kong to compete in the Junior worlds and we became Junior World Champions in Rope skipping. I was competing Individually too and was the underdog. Then I hear “And in third place from Sweden…….. Kajsa Arwefjäll”.
2016 worlds as seniors. We competed in Sweden in front of a big home croud arena and became Double dutch world champions!
2017 European Championship in Portugal was my last year of rope skipping. We took a medal and at the price ceremony we also found out we were the second best team in Europe.
“Rope skipping gave me so many different things, the ability to perform with pressure, hard work, and my amazing team”
